Live Life, Love London – The Great Shopping Experience in London?

The city of London has an extensive variety of shopping opportunities, placing it among the world’s most popular retail destinations. There are so many different shops in the city that you are bound to discover something perfect for you – whether it is a new addition to your wardrobe or a bespoke piece of homeware.

Of course, your luxury fractional ownership property makes the ideal base from which to explore the city’s many shopping opportunities at your leisure, but which destinations should you add to your must-visit list?

For the fashion-forward shopper, Knightsbridge should be the first destination on your list. The birthplace of haute couture in the UK, the area is undeniably a must-visit for fashion fans. It is also home to Harrods and Harvey Nichols – arguably the capital’s best-known department stores. However, that’s certainly not all, as there is a wealth of couture and designer stores in Knightsbridge offering top-of-the-range products at premium prices.

On the other hand, Bond Street is perfect for the more discerning shopper. Named after seventeenth-century businessman Sir Thomas Bond, the street is split into Old Bond Street and New Bond Street. This part of the capital is renowned for its collection of designer shops including Versace, Prada and Fahri.

For the trendier individual, it’s well worth paying a visit to Covent Garden. Although it dates to the medieval period, today, Covent Garden is a prime shopping destination where big-name designer brands brush elbows with charming bespoke boutiques. It’s also a great spot for a bite to eat, with a great range of small cafés and lively restaurants to choose from. Not only is Covent Garden a good place to shop; there is usually live entertainment going on in the street – perfect to enjoy when you take a break from hitting the shops!

Oxford Street is usually a very busy part of the city and boasts a staggering average of 200 million visitors every year! This is the place to go if you are looking for common high street outlets like John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.

Of course, we couldn’t complete a list of shopping destinations in London without including Regent Street! The home of luxury, many high-end shops reside here, including the infamous Liberty Store and ever-popular Hamley’s top shop. There are also plenty of high street outlets in Regent Street, including Laura Ashley, Next, French Connection and international favourites like Zara and Benetton.

At the end of the day, London is well-known as it is one of the primary shopping destinations in the world. Indeed, with such an extensive variety of retail opportunities available, you certainly won’t be disappointed!
